Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Friday, 15-Sep-2023 01:39:45 JST Jolly Rancher since I follow ZeroHedge, I have been aware that it was probably a lab product since January or February of 2020. It almost certainly came from that globohomo germ lab in Wuhan, for which they attempted to substitute the nearby farmer's market.
but by Janurary 2020, there were countless cases all over China, and as it turned out, in other countries as well. it had already been launched (or escaped if you prefer).
so far, the lab isn't fessing up. -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Friday, 15-Sep-2023 01:31:02 JST Jolly Rancher 'first reported case' does not equal 'first case' -- like any other outbreak, it is impossible to identify 'case 0'.
there are always stories of similar symptoms from before -- and by the time a disease is identified, the first cases are gone. either alive and well, or dead. -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Sep-2023 22:15:14 JST Jolly Rancher of course, the answer to both is "global warming". -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Sep-2023 01:08:24 JST Jolly Rancher needs to be demolished anyway. the evils of such companies have come into stark focus over the last 3 years. it could pass as an amusing data point up until then, "haha, you're 25% Irish" or some such bullshit.
now that globohomo has reared its ugly tentacled head, it is obvious that all that '23' information is going to be used against everyone... -

Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Sep-2023 15:04:01 JST Jolly Rancher and, @jeffcliff , i don't always agree with you, but i love that we can have this conversation. in this case, i agree with you.
i have been reminiscing about my feelings over the years, watching the burners sink into the mud .. in 1998, i thought "ohh, that looks like fun" -- by 2002, my thoughts were "ok, y'all have fun out there, kids, i'll never go" -- but by now, i just don't fucking care. it's been more than a decade for people to realize that burningman is just pure distilled evil. drown it. restore it to the primordial ooze from which it emerged. -

Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Sep-2023 01:58:22 JST Jolly Rancher Ahh, OK. It's probably bullshit then.
Of course, you can do quite a bit with 24nm. I can still remember when 'submicron' was a big deal (a quarter century+ ago) -

I stumbled into this network, partly as a result of people making lists on diaspora. and now – people making lists.one fine day, email was invented, and the next day spam. on the third day came credential services.
Cue The Grand High Executioner Song from The Mikado
they’ll none of ‘em be missed

Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 17:54:25 JST Jolly Rancher yeah, maybe. in any case, i didn't want my light bulbs talking to disneyland. -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 17:54:10 JST Jolly Rancher the most shocking thing I learned when taking the v6 course was that they were planning to do away with NAT.
not only does it enlarge your potential address space, it provides for some privacy and security that you just don't have with every light bulb connected to the universe. -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 17:53:59 JST Jolly Rancher i think 128 bits is too long, it makes addresses awkward to write and hard to remember. i said 48 bits, just add a couple octets, but 64 is probably reasonable. not enough for a unique identifier for every electron in the universe, but plenty for us and our grandchildren.. -
Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 17:38:51 JST Jolly Rancher d'oh! i did not mean to tag him. only noticed after i posted, that it was a complete tag.
so it's a new instance. mostly harmless. still, they could say something before following everyone.
