     'first reported case' does not equal 'first case' -- like any other outbreak, it is impossible to identify 'case 0'.
     there are always stories of similar symptoms from before -- and by the time a disease is identified, the first cases are gone. either alive and well, or dead.

     since I follow ZeroHedge, I have been aware that it was probably a lab product since January or February of 2020. It almost certainly came from that globohomo germ lab in Wuhan, for which they attempted to substitute the nearby farmer's market.
     but by Janurary 2020, there were countless cases all over China, and as it turned out, in other countries as well. it had already been launched (or escaped if you prefer).
     
     so far, the lab isn't fessing up.
