:ipv4: just isn't as fun with most of the network running a reverse proxy, even making :urbit: use a random value every fetch doesn't give off the right effect if it's cached for days -

@p @mint if there was a way to enforce good engineering, there might not have been a need to go past cobol
would be funny if this exact issue was the reason a bunch of people are failing to upload their media and not knowing why -

@silverpill the relay outbox would only have Announce and Follow activities, i want the whole shebang
because even 2k relay follows still leaves a ton to be desired -

@silverpill never mind it's empty https://declin.eu/users/relay/outbox?page=true
because those are not https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Public ! -

@silverpill wish there was a way to backfill an entire instance too, something like a shared outbox of all the https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Public activities to iterate, so polling federation was more viable instead of tracking each users outbox individually In conversation from declin.eu permalink Attachments

@goatmeal @crunklord420 plus with fees at a hundredth at a cent instead of 20 bucks, there's no reason not to push the shitter as far as it can go before the validators btfo In conversation from declin.eu permalink -

@mint fuck pleroma's code so much, yeah it's just not implemented on that path
ignoring the clear possibility of maliciousness, since only grafs and petes relays have behaved like this repeatedly, what the hell could be the causeIn conversation from declin.eu permalink -

@graf you can see it's not following back anyone here https://poa.st/relay/following since it has 0 entries while https://poa.st/relay/followers has 47 entries
i've sent a few Pleroma.Web.ActivityPub.Relay.follow("https://poa.st/relay")'s and don't see any logged backIn conversation from declin.eu permalink Attachments

@graf bump, would be neat to federate with poa.st again, or i can try and nigger up some other out of bounds solution like making an account just to collect url's from the websocket In conversation from declin.eu permalink -

@graf the one thing glussy did right was make the default install go with https://github.com/asdf-vm/asdf

@graf it may be enabled, but it never follows back, so it's not very useful to get poasts federating to my instance In conversation from declin.eu permalink -

@graf happy valantines, back from movies with family too, thanks for the effort, we can swap some patches/logs later if you want a 101 course on fucking with pleroma without downtime from the repl In conversation from declin.eu permalink -

@graf any chance you ever get a relay working again?
you can run https://256.lt/mrf/relay_optimization.ex if db bloat is a concern and running on develop should help with past issues of things getting stuck when instances are down temporarilyIn conversation from declin.eu permalink Attachments

@graf i'm the retard with ~2k relays subscriptions instead of follow botting federation on a single user instance, the bloat is on the receiving instance since Announce activities pile up, running the relay itself is a matter of efficiently broadcasting the ap id's
you would be better off running https://github.com/yukimochi/Activity-Relay or https://git.asonix.dog/asonix/relay since the janky python one sucked hard when you last hosted it, and i don't think it's the right way to handle that anywayIn conversation from declin.eu permalink Attachments
