@WashedOutGundamPilot @d0c40r0 @internetfreak I see nothing about BAP that is worth spending special hatred on.
There's guys worth hating, I listed Rod Dreher and David French as people worth reading, but I hate those guys. There is still value in reading them.
If you can't understand why people that you hate are worth reading you're missing the entire point of what I'm trying to say. -

@WashedOutGundamPilot @d0c40r0 @internetfreak I enjoy bringing BAP up because he triggers certain people.
Why does he trigger people? His book was mildly thought provoking, his Twitter account is completely missable, but certain people here, when BAP is brought up, lose the ability to reason and just start screeching.
This, for me, is quite interesting. The only other people I know that are triggered so hard by BAP are religious conservatives. -

Earlier I mentioned Tomassi in a conversation with Otto van shitpost and he freaked out about bronze Age Pervert, who I wasn't even discussing.
That level of discourse is just unserious. I'm all for writing off bad actors, but first I need to understand that they ARE bad actors, and HOW, if I'm to give reason for the things I do and not just be an automaton for anyone that wants to manipulate me.
And if I mindlessly write someone off, then confuse them for someone else, then my centimeter level understanding means nothing -

I simply get value from everything I read.
Ancient writers have value. Modern writers have value. Heretics have value. Church fathers have value. Pick up artists have value. Traditionalists have value. Doug Wilson has value. Bronze Age Pervert has value. Rod Dreher has value. David French has value. The Bible of course has the greatest value.
If you can't get value, of some kind, from virtually everything you read, you're ngmi. They're either giving you good info, telling you something about the world, or revealing how they fell into error. But it all has value if YOU love and pursue the truth. -

@d0c40r0 @internetfreak And understanding how your enemies think has great value. All these guys these hate BAP would be greatly benefited by reading his book, then they would know how to oppose him better.
I've read the communist manifesto. Had great value for me because it's horrible, but helped me understand my enemies. -
