Ahh, OK. It's probably bullshit then.
Of course, you can do quite a bit with 24nm. I can still remember when 'submicron' was a big deal (a quarter century+ ago)

@not_br549 @IAMAL_PHARIUS While it's likely bullshit, there are two scenarios here:
1) China is lying, and hoping people don't know the difference until after bulk international sales are made. WTO will favor China if there's any dispute.
2) China isn't lying, and that is actually 7nm. This means there was a deal struck wtih Taiwan, and a technology transfer happened that nobody's talking about, and this is the first public notice of that action.
Because the first pics Chinky the Cat has provided show two devices of different scale purporting to be the same device, I'm definitely leaning towards 1) being correct.
