@WashedOutGundamPilot 60k altitude is probably disturbingly close to the airframe's Q corner where the difference between stalling and critical mach are just a few knots apart. Not many pilots are going to want to occupy that corner of the doghouse.

It is crazy the amount stupid pills these people have consumed, or that they somehow made it this far in life without knowing what a weather sounding balloon is.

@sapphire @WashedOutGundamPilot When I lived out in the sticks, costco was a quarterly run at most and I usually brought a trailer. Something about a 100 mile trip to the nearest warehouse with 40 of those miles on an unpaved dirt "highway"

@WashedOutGundamPilot This has been the case of the various Women of Code/She can STEM grant programs out there for some time now. Software conference organizers figured out they could use DEI grant funds from big tech to lure in women from low income zones such as india, eastern europe & south america. It does not matter that these women are unable to write more than maybe "hello world", the point is to get them into a captive space with a bunch of intelligent but awkward men.

A respectable tech would use engineering toolbox to calculate the available BTU, the melting point of aluminum and make a graph of lbs/hr needed. Of course discovering in the process that the conversion rate is terrible.
Aluminum cans are some of the worst scrap to melt down due to anodized heads and the plastic liner creating tons of dross. Unless you are casting it and you have no other source for metal I wouldn't bother.
