@ryan@1iceloops123@coolboymew@mangeurdenuage@noyoushutthefuckupdad and, like with J-Novel translators breaking out the 'they' given the slightest excuse, I think it's intentional. These translators are fighting some kind of moral fight for "the nonbinary", or just jacking themselves off into their work, while I just want to watch the anime of the #1 best isekai that I've been reading for years.
Pic: the first 'they' refers to the community in general. The last 'they' refers to Stunk and Zel. All the interim theys are about Crim, an angel with both sex organs whose entire backstory is that he panicked and said he was male because he was afraid that the pervy-looking pair would molest him otherwise. There's all kinds of comic gay suspicion for Crim that only makes sense if everyone sees him as male, but the translator knows Crim's a hermaphrodite so out come the pronouns.
Stunning new data pulled from the Medicare database shows how each shot increases your risk of death
We can now see very clearly what is going on. Shot #1 bumps your risk of death by around 20%. Shot # 2 bumps it another 20%. Shot #3 bumps your risk another 10%.
I've probably mentioned this before, but TurboKid is one of my all time favorite movies. Probably #2? Maybe just #1.
It's hard to say for sure. When people ask me what my favorite movie is, I usually say The Life Aquatic with Steve Zisou, which is probably true.
But The Life Aquatic is a weird, difficult, sad movie that is hard to share with other people.
Turbokid is definitely my favorite film to share with other people. It's fun, it's funny, it's exciting, it does World Building, but small and silly and low stakes. It's also about how capitalism will kill us all, which is a plus.
I keep losing it a little bit because 70% of the people I see and interact with day to day are basically just interchangeable, indistinguishable entities. The more stupid skanks I deal with, the more my mind just converts them to “Stupid skank #1,456,211” and treats them as if I’ve been dealing with that exact one for years already
@PhenomX6@MischievousTomato@cyberanathema@animeirl@luithe >Josh in particular dug himself there when he spent years trying to boost KF to the #1 in search for any topic and this took KF from a gossip forum into being what it is now.
Not even a gossip site, but one that picks fights with anyone and everyone online over petty grudges.
That's KF's #1 problem, the in your face community has neutered any chance it had of being any sort of cultural powerhouse or influence other than using a few words that were likely used by somethingsensitive posters as well.
I think people should look at it as an example of "this is how not to behave online" or "this is how not to run a website". The lessons to be learnt from KF are very important IMO, namely #1 is to keep a low profile.
Josh in particular dug himself there when he spent years trying to boost KF to the #1 in search for any topic and this took KF from a gossip forum into being what it is now. Tumblr showed that you cannot shut down a website and expect the community to vanish overnight, just like how when the USSR fell the people did not. If KF didn't host dox and was lower profile online and didn't encourage users to infight, the community and site would be healthier. Why do you think a lot of controversial forums hide themselves? They do it to survive.
@atomicpoet ill bite, i run #1 instance on your list. you dont know that because eugen blocked you. we are the largest non-mastodon instance in existence
that being said, we run a fork of pleroma called rebased, something you fail to take into your consideration (like you always do because you don't actually do any worthwhile research)
pleroma has and supports quote posts as does the wider fediverse (see my attached screenshot)
this entire thread is bullshit because you don't understand different fediverse software but you speak like you do so people listen to you.
educate yourself before you speak and do better retard
@john_rando@WashedOutGundamPilot@MoralPanic It's mostly shared for free. I've never spent a dollar obtaining pornography. However, it is a massive draw to websites. If you were to evaluate the bandwidth consumption of 4chan, reddit, and Twitter, I would wager at least half of that is pornography. Fredrick told me that most of the traffic on 8chan was porn. I also corresponded with the archive today guy and expressed interest in hosting a complete copy of all archives. He told me it wasn't worth it because the #1 thing archived was porn.

didymusthe evidentiary basis of the subsequent nuremberg trials is quite amusing. prosecutor says USA captured 250 tons of german documents during and after ww2. this could be between 300 and 400 million documents (think about that), which were shipped back to the usa and analyzed by german-speaking jews. those which seemed worth of use in the war crimes trials were shipped back to germany where the prosecution sorted them and created "document books" for use in the trial. defense attorneys had access to "85 to 90%" of the documents selected in this way by the prosecution.
here is the chain of custody 1. german document, written in german, captured, sent to washington 2. a copy of #1 is typed out on a typewriter 3. an english copy is translated from #2 4. a german translation is made of #3 (sometimes) 5. a photostat (an early xerox) is made of #3 and #4 as necessary
so in court the documents presented by the prosecution are typically #5, which bear no actual signatures, no place of origin, no history, they are "a copy of a copy of a copy" and sometimes a re-re-translation. sometimes a part of the document-book will be scattered pages (page 3, page 15, pages 21-24, page 55) from other documents of which the remaining content is unknown.
hans laternser for the defense beat up the prosecution on this so bad that they cried and begged the tribunal to let it slide, since this is what was done in the main NMT trial anyway.
The #1 job of any device or service with the word "smart" in front of it? – make its manufacture and 3rd party #data broker partners smart about you & your family...
And of course, that just gets more people to question it. The fact that people are "not allowed" to question it is probably the #1 reason why they do it. Anyway, people in places like that could just say things like "of course I don't question the holocaust, it sounds like a great idea, sounds like it could take care of the problem, but manufacturing and wasting a shitload of bug spray is a very impractical way of doing it".
By the way, it's always worth reminding people that there are actually retards out there that think that Putin is going to save them from the Jews. https://social.076.moe/url/71700
