Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Wednesday, 19-Jun-2024 22:46:04 JST Suzu @Terry I see... and let's say, if one wanted to take a look at those leaks, just to check, where would one find them?
I think it might be a relevant information to leave here just in case anyone wants it. -
Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Friday, 14-Jun-2024 23:02:30 JST Suzu OK, so now what people were suspecting for a long time is 100% confirmed.
Sweet Baby Inc and all DEI initiatives are literally a protection racket scheme.

Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Tuesday, 11-Jun-2024 10:31:24 JST Suzu @graf @fal1026 @Bad_Banner @WashedOutGundamPilot @givenup yeah, at least the Samsung AI stuff is local.
So much that phones that use the Snapdragon Gen 2 (the Z Fold 5/Z Flip 5/S23) are having increased battery draining after the update that introduced AI. Samsung says it's a bug, but I think it's because the processor is not prepared for the AI stuff, so it consumes more energy to run it. -
Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Tuesday, 11-Jun-2024 10:27:53 JST Suzu @WashedOutGundamPilot @fal1026 @graf here's the thing: when I got the Z Fold, I got both the carrier subsidy, because I bought it in the carrier agency, and then I got an additional discount by giving my older phone, it's a Samsung campaign. It made the phone go from "prohibitively expensive" to "OK, I guess I can stomach it".
When I got my previous phone 3 years ago, I did the same thing, with another carrier. -

I, for instance, don't have "leftover phones" because Samsung gives me a big rebait for my old phone when I'm getting a new one. I think Apple also has something like that. -

I can't comment much on Brave Browser. People say it's a privacy focused browser, but I've seen some bullshit about embedded crypto in it and this kind of thing always makes me be wary of a project. -
Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Saturday, 08-Jun-2024 05:13:50 JST Suzu @amerika @dcc @Forestofenchantment @PurpCat @nach @p @0 @SockPuppet @eriner @istvan @viber @dj @FourOh-LLC @doonxib @Hoss theoretically, yes. However, modern browsers are either made by companies who want all your data, or are sponsored by companies that want all your data, so privacy protection will never be a standard, or if it is, it won't be reliable. -

Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Saturday, 08-Jun-2024 05:13:28 JST Suzu @p @amerika @dcc @Forestofenchantment @PurpCat @nach @0 @SockPuppet @eriner @istvan @viber @dj @FourOh-LLC @doonxib @Hoss I use Privacy Badger and it's pretty interesting, it blocks those trackers, like Google or Facebook bullshit that is added to the page, and works pretty well. I have no idea what Privacy Possum would do to screw them, tho.
As for the ads, I'm not entirely sure of all the intricacies, but I'm pretty sure there is some sort of algorithm that checks click retention and shit like that, that may "rate" ads to determine how much they'll pay for click and even demonetizing ads/pages that serve only bogus clicks, to avoid stuff like botting. So it may hurt ad farm pages, but yeah, as you said, this is the kind of thing that would only really hurt if a lot of people started using it, kinda ddosing the ad servers.
Either way, I guess I'll check them and install them on my home pc browser when I get back. -

Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Thursday, 06-Jun-2024 09:53:37 JST Suzu @gentooP @Wiz @udongle yeah, but the rapping just keeps "building up" more and more and I'm waiting for the moment when he starts screaming LOSE YOURSELF IN THE MUSIC TO THE MOMENT YADDA YADDA.
But that moment never comes. It's like edging, but not fun in the slightest. -
Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Thursday, 06-Jun-2024 09:15:50 JST Suzu @Wiz @udongle the most annoying part of this video is that I keep waiting for the "beat to drop" or whatever else niggers call it when he gets to the chorus, and it never happens, just jeeps building up. -

Suzu (suzu@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Tuesday, 04-Jun-2024 02:59:25 JST Suzu @Azur_Fenix @DarkMahesvara @Kyonko802 @Tamamo heh, honestly, for the use of 90% of people (that is basically web browsing, watching videos and editing some documents and maybe photos), there's little to no difference between Windows and Linux, except people's own retardness of going "REEEEEEEEHHHHH THIS OPTION IS NAMED SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT I CAN'T FATHOM TO LEARN NEW THINGS THIS IS UNUSABLE" (incidentally, these people had no problem learning all the differences to using shit on their phone, or the differences when they use MacOS).
The two main problems are some specialized professional software (that, again 90% of people don't use) and games. And games are getting way better with Steam and Proton. -
