That's Pulitzer language right there as it speaks to the generation's experience of incompatible ports, and of having to turn USB plugs around the other way to try to plug them in again, and the slow convergence towards USB-C as the universal port for power and communication. The asshole as the USB-C of orifices? Saying that, implying that, while artfully not resorting to exclusive technical jargon? Bravo!
That this is also wrong and disgusting is part of the appeal for the intended audience. -

1. 'HRT' (taking estrogen) is a scam. Years on it, no change whatsoever in appearance. Why would you prefer your delusions to wanting to get value for money? Is someone else paying for it?
2. 'HRT' (chemical castration) is also a scam. There are people asking how they can overcome erectile dysfunction while taking drugs that cause it. How does that happen? No medical professionals willing to get fired just for making sure that the deluded understand what they're actually ingesting.
3. I understand Turd Flinging Monkey's transgender support now, beyond his expressed (very cynical) reasons: trannies are a population of near-insane incels that absolutely, desperately, need his advice. For one, a very realistic doll is a lot cheaper than harmful and pointless drugs, and if you fuck it your monkey brain will conclude that you're in a relationship. That's sad, too, but it's a private sadness you can potentially recover from one day. You don't have to introduce yourself to people with doll-related pronouns.
4. We need children's programs, illustrated books, new fairy tales, to make it universally understood how reality-warping and insane it is to join these communities that can only exist online because they bring together super-ultra-mega-fringe aspects of people and make them seem like real communities with real people in them. It's not even that the people themselves are fringe, but what they *present* of themselves is a fringe of their own lives. The internet can let you binge 555 hours of something that looks real but is made up of a million people playing pretend, each, for only 2 seconds out of their day. A million suicidal people pretending that they're happy with their decisions. -

this is fine :) Nobody I know has ever died or gotten a serious head wound, and if they had, it's probably therapeutic to experience it in a game.
It's just programmed, pattern-based reactions. They have cube-shaped moral outrage and they push it through the little squares that they see open up in reality, with no thinking involved. You can see this most clearly when they misperceive the prompt and get angry over the wrong thing. I once got dogpiled for spoiling a game, not because anyone's experience of the game could have possibly been lessened by what I said, but because I used language that reminded people of famous spoilers (snape kills dumbledore on page 409).
