    @Kyonko802 @Meemoo @Noraweed @draw I would recommend LMDE or EndeavourOS ("Easy Arch"), if you are a Linux beginner start with LMDE, once you know your way around you'll probably want to switch to an Arch-based one. Caveat if LMDE doesn't recognize all your hardware I would just go for EndeavourOS.

    @draw @Meemoo Using Wine alone is a bit of unnecessary, specially for new users that don't know how it works, best it to let steam handle it (proton is steam wine's flavor used behind the scenes), and if it isn't a steam game use something like lutris (being brief, some sort of Wizard program that uses wine and other software and allows to create profiles per game/software).
    Using wine alone is good "to learn" how it works, it's important to learn a least about prefixes (prefix is the folder "windows instance" being used, it's better to keep them split, but if KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING you can put software together).

    @Meemoo Genshin (I don't play Genshin, but I've seen users posts in the same situation) is one of those, plus it will work for a period and then after sometimes it doesn't, sometimes Linux users start getting banned...

    @Meemoo Best option is to have a separate disk and dual boot.
    I still have a windows partition in another disk. Because, very rarely, there is some software, usually related to hardware configuration, that it's only on Windows, the two times I had to use it:
    1 To disable a the RBG lights of my graphics card.
    2 Updating my xbox controler firmware, only possible from a program in the windows store (I don't know if this has changed).

    Edit: mind you I didn't have a windows partition for like year after started using Linux, but then I had these issues.

    I have a Razer mouse and there are Linux native programs to configure it (I use polychromatic).

    In the Arch repos has it's own native version, I don't know if you can still use it with wine.

    Some programs just have Linux native versions, so I don't know if the wine devs have bothered with them.

    @Meemoo Linux can read NTFS drives, so yes. Also you can play most games on Linux nowadays, except those with certain types of anti-cheat.

    @Suzu @Ronnie21093 I have a B550 and I had issues with the sound but I solved them, I use headphones that at first were connected to the back of the case but once I switched to a pcie4 graphic card, during heavy graphic loads the sound started crackling. Solution? switch the to the front connector or use a USB sound card (I do this for the mic input).
    Also probably? relevant I'm on linux.

    I do prefer more the Jerry Seinfeld happy stupid style that the Larry David awkward style, it seemed more self-aware to me, finalle fits the former IMO.
