@Moon Risk taking in the current environment is sub-optimal. To be able to take a risk, there needs to be both the opportunity of succes, and the ability to recover from failure. Economic and social conditions have made recovery from failure so burdensome that it's simply not an option to many people. And those who still can take the hit are finding that the payout from success isn't the huge return that it once was. Betting everything doesn't move you up the social ladder, it just has the possiblilty of making your rung more comfy.
Basically, the everyman is priced out of risky ventures. Such strategies are once again the domain of the already moneyed who can keep throwing capital at businesses until they find a unicorn.
@Kyonko802@kamehamic@Meemoo@Spooke@draw I once borked a Mint install (fucked with my glibc versioning), said fuck that to fixing it and just shrunk the partition and installed manjaro on the partition I made out of the newly freed space. I used that laptop like that for years.
Since then I've learned the glory of snapshots and rollbacks using btrfs or timeshift.
@Kyonko802@kamehamic@Meemoo@draw Looks like there should be a keymap file somewhere that you can edit. I haven't looked through the docs much but I would assume it to be wherever the other mozc config files are stored.
@Kyonko802@kamehamic@Meemoo@draw Use your workspaces dood. Right click the panel on the bottom, select Applets, scroll down and add Workpace Switcher to the panel. You'll have 4 by default.
Then you can right click on window title bars and move them to other workspaces. You can also use keyboard shortcuts (check your keyboard settings).
@Kyonko802@kamehamic@Meemoo@draw I was assuming Meemoo was talking about vanilla Debian and not LMDE. Debian comes with Gnome by default and that's the android-like experience he's talking about. If you're on Mint I assume you're using Cinnamon, which is based on the designs of the old Gnome 2 shell and Windows 7 Aero desktop. That's why it seems like a normal desktop to you.
@Meemoo@kamehamic@Kyonko802@draw >desktop android That's just Gnome doing Gnome things. Install a diiferent DE and you'll have a much better time. That being said, don't start on Debian unless you're ready to deal with Free Software driver autism. Stick with Mint or Pop, install the nonfree drivers, and you'll have a much simpler switchover.
@Giganova8 sekrit klubbery is faggot shit. I understand not distributing private tracker torrent files, but just make a new magnet link for that shit that announces on public trackers. It's not fucking hard. Besides any faggot who actually cares about making sure the files still circulate distributes that shit as far and wide as possible. Not force people to join their shitty discord and jump through hoops. Those fuckers are just larping attention whores.
@ArdainianRight@ChristiJunior@Lavaearth Hellworld has taken a mental illness that could have been treated and metastasized it into a societal cancer that perpetuates itself via degredation of its host culture and attacks on its youth. I swear some jew must have called on Moloch itself to place demons within the heads of everyone who caught the memetic sickness known as Trannyism.
@eriner@coolboymew@Moon Autistic women who either like anine too much or want to skinwalk anime. They stream and so you can have a parasocial relationship with them. That is, they're like any other streamer except the wear anime instead of clothes.
@Moon That SPC admin is a real menace. Good to hear that the admin of SPC takes these investigations seriously and will be protecting SPC users from the SPC admin.
