     @kamehamic @Pawlicker sad panda is hosted in europe, miskey.io is hosted in japan so they can actually get into trouble. Japanese police is known for doing bullshit like that, so I wouldn't be surprised.

     @Pawlicker No arguments there. Heck, Varis allows for uncensored animu cunny all day long. So I ain't gotta worry about that here.
     
     But at the same token, I've got no issues with instances setting their own rules. Misskey's original purpose, to begin with, was to be a space for JP artists to post their artwork without getting deplatformed and report-spammed on Twitter.
     
     There's plenty of alternative fedi instances outside of Misskey, that are well suited to posting such illustrations. Unfortunately, a lot of people have tunnel vision.
     
     Misskey's been growing too fast, and has expanded outside of its original purpose. I've got no issues with them having their rules to try to comply with JP laws.
     
     Even so, I'm content to be here, under different rules.

     @Pawlicker I think the message is only meant within the context of Misskey, as a matter of playing things extra-safe. I don't think there's any concern with regards to outside instances.
