@WashedOutGundamPilot @basadeskaiser Doesn't the Russian doctrine basically assume that they would lose head to head in air combat and instead call for sitting behind a ton of layered S300 and S400 air defense systems? If they can't win, they can at least try to deny use of the airspace, and the loss of air support would make NATO combined arms tactics much less effective.
Not necessarily saying it's a winning strategy, but they are at least self-aware enough to adapt their tactics according to the reality of combat craft strength.

@chainsaw_appreciator @Bead @coolboymew Storage is pretty cheap nowadays as well, WD or Seagate drives are regularly under $20 per TB especially on sale.

@Shadowbroker2135 @PoalackJokes88 @GabeLakmann @caekislove @NJP @sargoysmuck Nah just a YouTuber. He made videos about firearms on YouTube way back in the day. I think I vaguely remember who you are talking about though, some guy in the 3d printing community who allegedly went on a "sugarbaby" website and hooked up with a girl who lied about being over 18?
-
@Elliptica @GabeLakmann @caekislove @NJP @PoalackJokes88 @Shadowbroker2135 @sargoysmuck It's entirely possible that they were digging through his history for some way to discredit him, found his sugardaddy account, and then talked to all the prostitutes in the hopes that one of them would claim sexual assault or something. Finding out one of them was 16 was hitting the jackpot since it's a strict liability felony.
-
@GabeLakmann @caekislove @Elliptica @NJP @PoalackJokes88 @Shadowbroker2135 @sargoysmuck It's a pretty typical part of the playbook, look at Julian Assange for example. The pretext for his original arrest was some highly questionable sexual assault allegation in Sweden that they eventually ended up dropping.
-
@PoalackJokes88 @GabeLakmann @caekislove @NJP @Shadowbroker2135 @sargoysmuck That's a perfect example. One popular theory is that law enforcement suspected it was a business partner dispute, but they couldn't nail anyone on the murder charge, so they got pissed off and tried to dig up whatever they could. And that turned up being the federal gun plus weed bullshit that no one ever gets charged with.
> “There were no signs of forced entry at the business and surveillance equipment, along with some firearms, had been taken. There did not appear to be a struggle of any kind, and based on the scene,” the statement from the GBI said, “Ratliff died while he was working. Ratliff may have been killed by individual(s) he trusted.”

@caekislove @GabeLakmann @NJP @Shadowbroker2135 @sargoysmuck Shouldn't this be pretty simple? If you are going to do RL activism, don't do illegal stuff and make sure your personal life is 100% in order. They will absolutely fuck with you given an easy opportunity, but they want to collect their pension, not get fired for raiding someone without a warrant.

@shedinja @anonaccount @Fash-E Library Genesis is a great source for books as well, and it's easy to contribute books if they don't have a copy yet. libgen.rs/

@ahmad @graf What are the current protests like, as someone living there but outside the liberal jew vs conservative jew slapfight? Hard to tell if the media here is exaggerating things or not.

@PraxisOfEvil > As boomers leave from the workplace so too the boomer work ethic has left the mind of younger generations of American workers. People just aren’t putting up with the shit their parents did for a paycheck anymore and the people who still don’t understand why are being drowned out by young labor activists.
There is an implied bullshit:reward ratio that people are willing to tolerate. Boomers working a blue collar job could buy a house, support a family, etc. Today many of those jobs barely cover a studio apartment and basic essentials. So it really isn't surprising that the bullshit people are willing to put up with has dropped.

@ForbiddenDreamer @Shadowman311 One simple trick to get a confession:
> If you didn't have a gun 30 seconds ago, why are we arresting you?
> But I did have a gun!

@Xenophon @Twoinchdestroya @Terry @BroDrillard @Druid @white_male It's paying money for the simulacrum of a relationship and the illusion of female attention. It's honestly sickening.
-
@Twoinchdestroya @Druid @BroDrillard @Terry @white_male Our circuses are still insanely good compared to decades or centuries ago. Modern mainstream movies are capeshit and Netflix woke garbage, sure, but there are plenty of people just sitting on their couch playing the new Call of Duty or FIFA game and ignoring all that stuff. Then there's TikTok, YouTube, PornHub...
Our circuses are damn addictive that I think the breaking point will be when a significant number of people can't afford a roof over their head, the electricity to plug in their Xbox, or three meals a day. Some people are definitely on the brink, but we don't seem to be anywhere near a critical mass yet.
-
@BroDrillard @white_male @Terry Here's the actual article: mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/major-pay-dispute-hits-secretive-30470942
> The bust-up between the MoD and GMB union members is over a soaring pay gap between missile movers and staff who finally put the bombs together.
> Employees dubbed Craft Workers, who assemble the weapons, are paid £16.82 an-hour, plus £4,000 as their “Craft allowance” and a £6,000 retention bonus comes to about £38,000 a-year.
> Non Craft Workers, who transport the weapons, earn just £10.42 an-hour or £20,500 a-year and do not receive bonuses.
So they are basically saying they could flip burgers instead of driving explosives around, and make the same money.

@Hoss @thatguyoverthere @Moon It's always funny when someone like that runs into bebe and gets a "thank you friend" in response.

@justnormalkorean @PodunkPotato Writing is still a good tell, like look at this license plate.

@DK_Dharmaraj I'm a bit skeptical of whether a Russian offensive will fare any better than the Ukrainian one. The last Russian offensive led to a drawn-out slog in Bakhmut, and that was with the better(?) Wagner troops primarily leading the charge. The only way I could see that happening is a complete collapse in Ukrainian morale, or a steep drop in Western support. Our politicians have sunk so much political capital and money into Ukraine at this point though, that the latter seems unlikely.
-
@DK_Dharmaraj It's really hard to estimate without better knowledge of how deep NATO stockpiles are, and what percentage of Russian shells are still usable after being left to rot for decades. Both sides seem to be reducing their shell expenditure in recent months, which is not conducive to successful offensives on hardened positions.
-
@BroDrillard That was really rough for Pence, that "American cities aren't my concern" is going to follow him the whole campaign. Other than that, Vivek Ramaswamy actually seemed pretty good, and Asa Hutchinson getting wrecked by Tucker was hilarious.

@PorkCow @apropos @Shadowman311 I think it really comes down to the fact that the writers really don't want to be stuck making a Witcher or Wheel of Time adaptation, they want to have their own original production. I have only watched a couple episodes of the Witcher, but this was really blatant in Wheel of Time, where they wasted an entire episode on two gay warders who don't even exist in the books. And this is at the same time they are cutting out important plot information to fit the book into one season...
