@troubledturtle @1967GTO @WashedOutGundamPilot I keep telling myself not to blow the money on getting rid of my wheels and going full retro w/. 15"
Just imagine how cushy it would be having 6 inches of rubber on a lowered car

There are a few posts here that may be interesting to the perennial "wtf should I grant a society kindness it refuses to extend to me?" debate:
I know, I know, memeflag time wasting shitpost but the responses are alright

@Shadowman311 "Trust the experts!" believers continue to suffer

I feel like this could be a kind of roman downfall painting. All you need is some togas and columns in the background and suddenly a fantasy caption will appear saying "Flavious Pullius entered the Legions' mess to break break with the officers, 3 nights before summer solstice in 97 AD"

@deprecated_ii @Hoss @Rasterman @theorytoe @verita84 @curiousthinker Hey that system has worked wonderfully in academia:
"Publish or perish" has given us leagues of invaluable scientific study

Looks like this guy's idea passes the "roast test"

"All that is quintessentially based is apparent not to the eyes, but to the soul"

@lichelordgodfrey @sawa_sama I think comcast tried to resurrect it last year, they brought in some dyke and she rang in the new channel by going on a femme diatribe chastising gamers for being sexist, and it all went to shit.
Was pretty funny, as far as corporate screw ups go

Pretty sure this is the most accurate rendition of Satan painted in the last 300 years

@WashedOutGundamPilot @Lady_Euromutt @Solbera @DrRyanSkelton @Owl @WhiteDissidentRadio Something that goes unnoticed is elder care. There are a lot of people struggling to take care of the aged ones in the family. Family will think that everything's fine because grandma's still got her mind and she can care for her mentally-gone husband alone, but she's actually crushed under the stress of having to play nurse 24/7.
Chances are she could really use a day to herself without having to carry that load. That's a simple thing that I bet a whole lot of us have in our family, and you get to build a stronger relationship with your roots.
Just an idea. With how common alzheimers is today, and how expensive care is, you could really help someone out just by babysitting grandpa for a day

"I like to keep this one for close encounters" she says as she dismounts the passenger seat of my toyota tacoma in the walmart parking lot at 10 pm

@deprecated_ii Didn't we just get a movie about that "tactic" in Top Gun (2022)?
Except instead of an expensive aircraft, they got a tiny, disposable one.... crazy how that works, I guess.l
