What I felt was that while there are good aspects to Japanese education, it is seriously lacking in the area of multicultural coexistence, and I keenly felt the need to change this.

As far as I know, there is no bullying in Indian schools. This is because it is natural for people to be different. In Japanese schools, education is centered on fitting students into a certain mold, and students who deviate from that mold are bullied. In fact, my son was bullied at a junior high school in Japan. That’s why I felt strongly that this had to change.
