@lapin I've been playing Unreal World on and off longer than some of you have been alive. Yes, I mean that 100% literally. It also just got another update back in May, April, March, and February. Previous versions are also free on the dev's website.

Someone here got me turned on to Path of Achra. It's fun for theorycrafting builds and seeing what combos you can make.

Holocure is good if you want Vtubers in your Vampire Survivors, and it's free.

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is always worth shilling. It's some of the greatest jank available. Make memes, kill thousands, gain brouzouf, escape the cycle of guilt.

I need to check out the updates for Surroundead. It's low-poly DayZ that's still lacking multiplayer (which is in progress).

Others have recommended MonHunWorld. They're right.

Let It Die is... fuckin' weird, and worth a play. Also free.

Underrail: If you need Fallout 1/2 but more brutal. I need to go back and actually finish this. I was having a great time when I played it but had some IRL get in the way.

Space Pirates & Zombies: Also good stuff. Top-down spaceship game. Fun times.

Planet Alcatraz, Marauder aka Man of Prey, and 7.62 High Caliber: I'm lumping these all in together, as they're all vaguely the same Slavjank engine. 7.62 is very much a "We loved Jagged Alliance 2" sort of thing, with more intricate detail. It's also one of the few games I've seen where you can mix ammo types in a magazine.

Marauder/MoP simplifies combat a little bit but it's still a good time. Ahkmet displays an amazingly strong DNGAF about anyone else attitude when a war breaks out. You can also beat your wife in between missions for unlimited EXP (she's an essential NPC who can't be killed and never turns hostile).

Planet Alcatraz: Simplified combat like M/MoP. You're part of a military squad of trainees trying to stop an escape from a prison planet. It does not shy away from touchy subjects.

Warlockracy has done reviews on the latter two. They're worth checking out.

Earth Defense Force 4: EDF! EDF! EDF! EDF! EDF! EDF! I should also check out EDF 5.

Titan Quest/Grim Dawn: I'm just gonna throw those together. They're Diablo clones and I enjoyed them. They still get occasional patches.

NEO Scavenger: Have you ever wanted to get murdered in Michigan? Have I got a game for you! Seriously though, it's good but very VERY hard if you don't know what you're doing. Protip: Don't try living out of the cryo lab.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4: A bit of a throwback to the good old days of Newgrounds. If you like 90s JRPG combat and some fun humor you'll like this.

Jets n Guns: It's a shmup, and it has GREAT, LOUD MUSIC. Avoid the sequel. The first is so great JnG2 is a letdown.

One Way Heroics: Roguelite. Stay ahead of the ratchet scrolling.

Tower of Guns/One Million Fatal Guns: Two games of similar style (random levels, weird guns). ToG has roguelite progression (gun unlocks, pick your starting weapon). OMFG is free but has a but less variety for levels and random stats on weapons.

Amid Evil: One of the earlier boomer shooters before everyone started making one. Gameplay is quick and the visuals ARE FUCKING GORGEOUS.

Frost Train: Free game. Kinda hard deck (train?) builder. A bit RNG dependent, but I've been enjoying it.

Heavy Bullets: More procedural generation, more roguelike. Reusable bullets are an interesting mechanic.

I haven't seen anyone mention Cave Story in a while, which is a shame.

Scanner Sombre: Walking sim, but would recommend.

Blood & Bacon was really really dumb and pretty fun.
