Yes, since they were basically racial socialists. They wanted to redistribute the wealth but only for the glory of the race of course.

Whatever their intent, their methods failed, and making a system based on a "third way" that incorporates incompatible parts of Right and Left is a path to instability.

Art students however do not think of this.

Exactly, and they should have known better since they claimed to be Darwinists.

Their economic miracle came from adopting supply-side economics, then got bogged down in the bureaucracy.

At the same time, the art student had to go re-fight WW1 because it was not horrible enough the first time I guess.

In my view, it is one of the typical spasms at the end of democracy. I think it was an attempt to reign in democracy, but they were still so imbued in democracy-logic that they ended up at Napoleon.

And as you recall, he came out of the last great liberalizing spasm to hit Europe.

Declared himself emperor even. Patterns repeat.

The first part: income tax attempted during the Civil War but rejected on Constitutional grounds.

Then #14A.

Then income tax in 1913 but properly 1919 when it really killed in, creating the Great Depression.

This essentially triggers WW2.

There are no actually viable monarchies at this time to my knowledge.

Fuhrers are artifacts of National Socialism, which is derived from Communism but with a far-Right spin.

This is why it was unstable, refought WW1, and did horrible shit.

No doubt the National Socialists had some Right-wing notions, but the Left-wing basis of their system made it unstable and prone to horrors. Ditto Fascism.

I disagree. The great resegregation is accelerating.

Most of this has more to do with the Hispanic influx than African-Americans.
