people are paying hand over fist for some awful api calls (e.g. firebaseai R1) and it's only going to get crazier. well, it might be too late but ever since i saw the guy skateboarding in hackers i wanted to have a huge data center like that.

it's kind of tragic how these days alt culture types are usually some sort of mentally ill people. you'd have cipherpunks on thinkpads, anarchofuturists with hydroponics, engineers that nerd out about 3d printing, old retired guys that crash cars for fun and just wanna teach you how to weld.

if you made a funny webcomic about turning your mouse cursor into a :senko: senko. back when javascript only did that and made blinking under construction text.

would it still be as funny today, now that javascript has changed somewhat?

i think it would be less funny. so i think that spaceballs could seem less funny if star wars became sufficiently estranged and new connotations are created.
