@fuggy this is why processor manufacturers use it. But when software mitigations are applied, performance drops.

@fuggy CPU manufacturers want to release more and more powerful units without costly development of technology. So they use more and more hacky methods. There would be no Specter or Meltdown if there was no speculative execution.

But exchange rates are not everything. If you live in the US and earn in dollars, you also pay in dollars. Looking at the current prices of various goods and services… probably only gasoline is cheaper in the US, but housing, insurance, medicines are more expensive. One dollar for someone living in the US is like one zloty for someone living in Poland.
