@thatguyoverthere Yeah, I think this is going to possibly become more expensive than I am used to. Need to find ways to use what I've already gotten maybe. What a time to begin this. It's good to hear that it is more expensive on the calorie front.
-
@thatguyoverthere Yeah, probably not a great idea to sweat your way to weight loss.
-
@thatguyoverthere Yeah. I think that I felt that... decided to drink more water to help with it. Definitely water during the workout too.
Also, who knew that exercising was so expensive?
-
@thatguyoverthere Now you mention that, I hadn't considered how certain foods increase temperature. It's interesting. I'm glad it helps the chickens stay warmer in the winter.
-
@thatguyoverthere Could be. I'm not sure how good my metabolism is... but working out definitely builds up an appetite.
-
@thatguyoverthere Yeah, probably a combination of that and stress. It made more sense when I was working out.
-
I feel like I've just been sweating all day and I don't know why.
-
@Moon @lain They have more local cuisine in some places in Europe at McDonalds? Damn, all we get is the boring American fast food junk.
-
It feels good to get in a workout sesh.

@animeirl @thatbrickster When you think about it, both islam and pride are foreign faiths being imposed upon people so it is interesting to see how they interact with each other. Still, it is interesting to see how even in the US, people are segregated like this... almost like multiculturalism isn't working. With larger populations, the bubbles they live in will grow and push others out.

“The main mark of modern governments is that we do not know who governs, de facto any more than de jure. We see the politician and not his backer; still less the backer of the backer; or, what is most important of all, the banker of the backer.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.
-
“I am (obviously) much in love with plants and above all trees, and always have been; and I find human maltreatment of them as hard to bear as some find ill-treatment of animals.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

@Moon @thatguyoverthere @EvilSandmich @fu It's worth considering that white people have always done the jobs that no one else wanted to do before migration became big. It was a lot worse the further you go back too. A lot more manual work that someone had to do. White people did those before the pay and conditions were better. Unfortunately, some of that was down to slavery of white people or being a part of the peasantry, and then later on they had to pay a bit better for the dirty work. White people have been miners where even children were involved, then the industrial revolution opened up more roles. White people got rid of the shit in the streets, white people worked in the fields, looked after animals.
You used to be proud of the working class role you had, it was passed down through the generations. White people used to be proud to be a family of miners or truck drivers and the younger generation aspired to this. Honestly, this idea of better conditions and pay is more of a recent attitude, perhaps because of being pushed through the education system, being told constantly that we have these attitudes and corporation targets/quotas to fill which make it impossible to maintain. I think the government and corporations want us to think that we have this attitude that there are jobs we wouldn't do so they can bring an underclass in to do them, and it is a pretty upper class attitude to take when you think about it.

@coolboymew A stage play? Sounds interesting.

"Hayao Miyazaki once said the reason his female characters appear so strong and confident is that they are first absolutely feminine in their nature. But when put into situation, they have to step out beyond their normal self. That makes them come across as a strong female."
That's an interesting perspective when writing a strong female.

"I have never understood the obsession with seeing yourself in a movie, not in any meaningful way, but purely based upon looks. I don't care what a character looks like, what matters is who they are. What connects me to a character is their thought process, their motivations, the decisions they make over the course of a story."
They also have to make some sense within the worldbuilding of the story for me, otherwise it pulls me out of the story being told. But there really are more interesting aspects of characters than how they look, whether they look like me or not.
I'm struggling to think if I have ever seen myself on screen. It's probably a good thing that I haven't.

@thatguyoverthere Selling on facebook? I cannot fathom this.

It's worth pointing out that there is modern slavery in Africa today, I recall one story where an African father couldn't pay his debts so his debtors took his daughter into sex slavery out of the country.
-
@condret @grips @thatguyoverthere Sure, you can make quick decisions sometimes but don't lie about them. We should know that we don't have the full science yet and be able to make our own fully informed decisions rather than being censored for being skeptical by the government.
-
@thatguyoverthere @condret @grips What can I say? I am extreme about following the scientific method as intended.
