"Youtube doesn't allow claims about COVID-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from ... World Health Organization (WHO)."
How can we contradict the WHO when they contradicted themselves on their advice about wearing face masks?
-
@grips If the science keeps changing, how can it be trustworthy? Especially enough to censor people over it.
-
@condret @grips How can you make new discoveries if you are censoring the people that are skeptical of the current changes or discoveries being made though? We shouldn't just believe things, it is healthy to be skeptical of science discoveries and to keep following the scientific method for proof. Not have it shut down by the government.

@lain @augustus Getting to live the good life at last. That's my goals.

As strange as this sounds, I actually don't watch Japanese anime to be represented by them. I'd much rather watch Japanese people on the screen going about their day or taking some action or making an important decision in their lives. Learning more about their myths/folklore, their culture, their people... learning about the values that are important to them. Even better, being able to enjoy a good story which involves character arcs and worldbuilding.
-
@coolboymew Exactly. And they were struggling before as artists when Disney came over and could make everything cheaper because they had made their money in the US. Disney caused artists to starve in Japan because the Japanese brought their products instead.
Even if the characters look white, they still behave like characters from a Japanese lens. Because it is made by Japanese people. They also live in Japan, so... Or wherever the animation is from as I think other Asian countries have their own version.
-
>We asians don't appear as much as some others do.
Dude, you have entire asian film markets in some of your home countries. That is where it is at. How can you say that you don't appear as much in films? Why must places like the US or the UK cater to Asians when you would be better catered to by watching films or shows from the countries that are already majority Asian? You should be supporting that industry to thrive, not Hollywood.

@thatguyoverthere @grillchen Thanks for this reminder. I'll need to figure out a good stretching routine but I moved in a way that felt right. Going to do some more movement so I'm not stuck online all day. Thinking about what small things I can do too.
-
@thatguyoverthere @grillchen Ah, that makes sense. If I had to walk as many steps as mentioned, it would probably take me a long time each day. So the important part is to keep my heart elevated for up to an hour? However that is done?
I definitely woke up today and felt my efforts from yesterday. Going to take it a bit easier today.
-
@augustus @Moon Yeah, just don't go to London and the areas around it. I think there was another city too, they are also in a lot of the towns now. Won't be long before the villages are lost to us, if they aren't already. Foreigners have destroyed this country, and even worse is that they get to make decisions here now. No wonder we've gone to shit.
-
@mangeurdenuage @Moon @augustus You have women that were raped back then, now watching their own daughters become victims of the same types of men. It has become a generational thing and no end in sight.
-
@mangeurdenuage @augustus @Moon Probably has been bad, at least since the 1970's or something.
-
@mangeurdenuage @Moon @augustus We still can't admit that this is a problem at the government level. I wonder how many more children must be sacrificed before they admit to it happening by certain men. If this is the cost of peace then it is too high, and it harms the children of the community they are protecting.
-
@grillchen Yeah. I'm wondering what the best way for me to reach that number is. Although I might need a watch to help track how many steps I've taken until I know how long it would actually take me.
-
@Flick @dave I do surprise myself by how much I can walk still when I do walk. Makes me wonder how moon was able to do this though.
What about walking inside your house or is that what you meant here?
-
Literally don't know how people get 10,000 steps in a day.
-
@Flick That makes sense. 10k seems crazy, like you would have to go for a very long walk out. Although it would be interesting how many steps I can do in an hour.
-
@Flick "To get an idea of how many steps you should take for a base fitness level that falls within the recommended guidelines, 10,000 steps a day is about 5 miles of walking for most people. If you walk at an average pace, you will cover about 3 miles in an hour. So two and a half hours of walking per week - or about 15,000 steps - would give you the minimum amount of activity according to these guidelines."
That is the basic guideline, but not sure that I would be taking the average pace... haha. Maybe the trick is to find walks that are exactly 5 miles and complete them?
-
@dave @Flick I suppose it could be worth venturing into the garden now you mention it, you get the benefits of fresher air, maybe the sun if good weather and exercise in one.
Although my muscles are nice and sore today.

@thatbrickster @coolboymew Do I want to know?
