@nixCraft Well, as a non-network-admin developer one sets up DNS about twice per century. Then it’s a wee bit too hard to remember what those two letter things meant.

@nixCraft Because I’ve used it… My number one is that it doesn’t handle the churn and output of AAA game processes. Besides that, it has horrible monolithic architecture. Everything is in one machine and in files with no atomic write protection. If the UI stops working and needs restart your forced to restart the whole server. The protocol between node and server is flaky. We lose connection constantly even though they are in the same rack and at most are two short optical cables apart.

@nixCraft An HTML-editor with live preview. Killer feature was that you didn’t need to know the tags, but could push buttons to create elements. It was in Visual Basic in the year 2000. My last year of secondary school.

@nixCraft I’m at Electronic Arts. We get the yearly bonus in June. About three months after end of fiscal year reports. I’ve never had a problem with that timing. Is your frustration about not having a bonus program or that the payouts aren’t when you want them?
