  @nixCraft Visual Basic 6.0. That was the easiest to start with.
  Good thing kids these days can learn programming with easy AND practical languages.

  @nixCraft qbasic in a schoolproject. I believe it was 1998. The ide came with a dark mode by Default even though the color scheme was kinda questionable

  @nixCraft BASIC on the ZX Spectrum with 48k RAM. I also remember the wow factor I had when I upgraded to a 128k version, and then to an 8086 with 640kb and gwbasic

  @nixCraft It all started with Basic on a Dragon 32, then continued with BBC Basic on a BBC Micro model B, then Turbo Pascal and C++ on PC. Then Java, and now C#.

  @nixCraft I think it was called "turbo-redap" or something like that. Not even sure it was a language :D. Has anyone heard about it? I remember commands starting with a dot, like '.PRINT blabla'.. It was decades ago, not sure how accurate my memories are..

  @nixCraft learned Java in a highschool class called "Intro to JavaScript"
  I basically learned this language as a result of my teacher's ignorance and I'm glad for it.
