   how do you feel about employers not providing bonuses around the holidays? 😠

     @nixCraft Coming from the trades, no. Nice, but never expected. Fight for strong compensation for your time and value year round and never be sad when bonuses don't come. When you get random unplanned bonuses it is not only financially sweet but the surprise can really ice your cake!

     @nixCraft an employer should pay more in salary or hourly. Bonuses are just carrots to dangle in front of employees. 🎣🥕

     @nixCraft Usually I expect a party or nice dinner out. I only had one job with a bonus structure but it was contractually spelled out on product release and an expected range of sales. What I don't get is handing out bonus to management when the economy is tight and major layoffs have happened. What's that bonus supposed to mean in this case ehen management obviously failed here ?

     @nixCraft I’m at Electronic Arts. We get the yearly bonus in June. About three months after end of fiscal year reports. I’ve never had a problem with that timing. Is your frustration about not having a bonus program or that the payouts aren’t when you want them?
