@DW2 It took a lot of work, they didn't arrive here naturally. With the collapse of the right wing into a fringe party in the 2010s, neocons began carefully curating leftwing political content by banning and isolating people who didn't play the tune they wanted and promoting retards who do, as well as making sure they always taking the opposite to alt-right positions. The result are literal blood thirsty retards. -

I thought both Flowers of Evil and Inside Mari were really good. I think what I appreciate most about those stories is that he does not romanticize mental illness, he shows it for what it really is, a crippling disease that, if left untreated, will totally destroy you.

@alex Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of artists don't seem to think too critically of how they learned to draw or write, or what they base their works off. These people act like they don't use references, or were ever taught or inspired by anything made by anyone. All that they create was revealed to them in a vision. -

@WashedOutGundamPilot I would get it in the context that all materials have an em resonant frequency, and multiple modes of that frequency. Basically the material will start to vibrate with all of the energy you provide it, which is how a microwave works. I guess the fear is that certain frequencies can do this (beside the obvious, microwaves).
I get the fear, and I wouldn't doubt that there would be limited research on this at the moment, but it also seems really unlikely given how much we've used this band in the past with no ill effects.
For those worried, they can move to western New Mexico and specifically West Virginia; the radio telescopes there make it illegal to even drive a gas car because the spark plugs cause too much em interference. Zero EM radiation... besides what you get from space. -

I always wanted to fly, but it's way too expensive and I wasn't going to join the air force like my dad. I know a guy who built his own plane for little money, but even then the licensing fees are way too high. -

I've felt fairly despondent and hopeless over the last 4 years, but in the last month my mood has improved a lot, but maybe it's just because it's that time of year. I think I know exactly what you've been feeling. I think it's a matter of perspective. Things are bad and they're just going to get worse. But, neither you nor I can fix the world, and maybe we shouldn't stress about how we can't. But we do have knowledge about the reality of this world, and maybe we can act on it, and manipulate it for our own benefit. You have a network in places like these that you can use to air your grievances and strategize. Small victories are important right now, so focus on those that you can win for now. -

I just had a big realization:
If "liberal" men believe that the system advantaged them for being men, and "conservative" men believe that the system disadvantages them for the same reason and so don't apply, could this explain the reason for the huge discrepancy between these two groups and the positions they end up holding? If the truth is really somewhere in between what these two groups believe, this may explain why there are so many "bug men" with so much influence.
Perhaps this is a bit too similar to the argument used to explain the discrepancy between Blacks and Whites. -

They write stuff like this, but I don't think they can actually cite an example of women being intentionally treated badly. At the worst things went from "men and women are different" to what we have today; "men are dumb and stupid and smelly and lazy (and maybe dangerous criminals). Women are the best at everything they do." It's almost like cartoons are trying to correct for an injustice that never existed.
So then, why would men want to participate in anything at all if everything tells them "they're not special at all", and feel that the moment they tried anything, or apply themselves, they'll be instantly overlooked the instant a female applicant shows up? Why exert the effort at all? Even if it's not true, if that's how they feel, and if they know they'll be laughed at the moment they try to stand up for themselves, someone demoralized in this way will either quietly vanish into the noise, or violently lash out as one last "FU" to the system. -
