The problem is, as always, how they'll define it. Shows like Bigmouth will get 7 seasons, and it won't count for some reason. Meanwhile they'll use it to police character designs of some rando on the internet. "Sorry, this jury thinks your character looks like a little kid, and since you drew wearing a bikini, you'll go to jail forever now". -

Well, I'd be more general and say that the US entertainment industry (which, yeah, is mostly Jewish but I don't think it's totally relevant in this case), is upset that anime and Japanese styled entertainment has totally displaced American entertainment. They are trying to control it, but at the same time also working to destroy it (in the case they can't control it). Japan is less prudish about what might be considered sexual themes in the west, and especially nudity, and so that's been one of their most successful strategies for attacking it. -

I don't think you can explain it. You can go over it again and again, as carefully as you can, and it won't make sense. You can show them large examples and they'll think it's made up, or that their case is special, somehow. -

I think a real problem "right wing" governments have in general is getting academics on it's side.
Of course, I don't know if this exact story is true, or one shared late as a type of black PR campaign (this really important guy retired around this time, and he did it for <insert you preconceived bias> because he was against <insert group>, so you should be like your hero), but I've seen similar sentiments among academics today. It's a common enough story among people around that time, so this sort of behavior is most likely real. -

@NathanielHigger1488 @WashedOutGundamPilot @Xeraser It completely depends on a use case, and that's dependent on scale. For a scientist, easy conversion is key for many problems, so metric makes sense... until it doesn't. Then they make new units for their specific use case, but always tie it back to metric for ease of conversion.
The idea that everyone needs to switch to metric because 12 inches in a foot is too hard to remember is funny to me. Most people don't do unit conversion ever, so selecting a system with a wonky base ten scale over less evenly divided but useful scales for the sake of conversion is really stupid. -

@Grumblesock @briellebouquet It's a voyeurism thing too for him. I think it's the same with this post.
On DA you are supposed to mark mature content, so it will be filtered so you couldn't see it without an account for adults (since a lot of kids use to use DA, not a great policy because you can lie about your age, but it's better than nothing I guess).
He doesn't do that though. On top of that, he got attention because he would spam upload the same images again and again, so that his pictures would flood the live upload page (which DA seems to have either removed or now hides, likely because of people like him that abused it). -
