     Girls don’t have agency in a way we understand. They’re basically like those disc sleds, where guys are the ones with rails to at least try to steer

     Their agency is there, but it’s more like an ethereal force made up of their community and environment deciding for them (in their heads)

     At no point in this sordid tale does this girl seem to express even a hint of agency.
     She ran away from a boys home and JUST HAPPENED to get picked up by a sex trafficker? What are the odds?
     I wonder if at any point she objected to being treated like a boy or if the attorney spoke over her.
