No, the destruction is only shown as colonies being bombarded by Musai cruisers and a colony dropping on an unspecified city in the opening monologue. I'm pretty sure it wasn't until Gundam 0083 that they specifically mention the city destroyed was Sydney. The details of the first six months of the war are extremely vague other than billions of people have been killed and atrocities were committed.

Why would Disney refuse free money to produce war propaganda especially since Walt wasn't even really sympathetic to fascism?
