I helped a friend run a table at gun shows for years (nodox) and the gAyTF was always running a stupid sting of one kind or another. The shows had to go along with them at some level so that they weren't shut down, partly because of the support of state / county / muni politicians or law enforcement, but also because the associations who ran the shows felt that some level of over and above cooperation would allow the shows to continue
Anyway, the most egregious was a guy who had a Chinese AK with a full auto receiver in the old MAK-90 configuration that was part of a batch of a few thousand that made it through the importers and were then discovered; the importer and distributors recalled as many of then as possible and literally went door to door based on sales records to seize them from buyers (early participants in the recall were reimbursed or given a compliant rifle in trade)
Anyway, this sketchy dealer had one of these things as the centerpiece on his table, a big sign BANNED FROM IMPORT!, marginally premium price, and no joke a big laminated arrow pointing at the third hole in the fire group area that indicated that it was a full auto receiver
I asked my friend and he said, "The guy was popped with some naughty stuff so he is doing a sting for ATF - I warn everybody who stops at our table." I mentioned it to one of the club promoters (I was a dues paying member, too) and he sort of shrugged, so any time we were close to the guy we told everyone that it was a retard magnet and to stay away. I saw dozens of people confront the guy and report him but of course nothing happened, and nobody ever fell for it. This is one of my tamer stories about the entrapment I saw at shows by ATF and other LE assets. We told gangbangers to fuck themselves all the time and one time a black cop from a nigger city told us to sell these guys guns so he could arrest them and we just laughed at him

I've never been to a gun show but I've heard it's a meme that you can spot the fed by seeing who is selling copies of Turner Diaries there, moreso after Oklahoma City.

@KarlDahl @PhenomX6 @DK_Dharmaraj The Turner diary booksellers are typically the least shady guys in my experience. Most of them admit they don't give a shit about the National Alliance and just see it as a way for extra sales.

@PhenomX6 @DK_Dharmaraj People say that but my buddy worked for the guy who sold the naughty books for years. He wasn't a fed. The feds only ever messed with questionable guns and would tell you right off the bat that they wanted to engage in a transaction in such as way as to break the law. Actual outlaws never ever do that

@KarlDahl @DK_Dharmaraj yeah that's pretty much how those transactions go, they do it in a way to entrap you and to make sure you're admitting to it.
