@WashedOutGundamPilot @Wormwood I don’t think so, she has an actual medical condition that affects her hormones and stuff so it’s beyond control, but it’s nothing I can’t manage. She’s better than my mom.

I was originally going to move her in 2 weeks from now but something came up and now that’s probably not possible, we have to wait until next year. Sucks because we met online and it’s long distance.

We strayed a bit from the point, being that you really can find wife material online, you just have to look in girlish spaces.

@PurpCat NOSTR has bumps but they usually don’t stick around. When I look at the follows and following on my old keypair from just one year ago, they’re almost all inactive now.

@PurpCat Sounds like nowadays Fedi but I think the difference is that here, people will stick around if there’s a familiar instance.

We used to have huge podcast fanbases that hosted here. No Agenda, The Dick Show, and one other one that I can’t remember. They had big internal communities like Poast does, and when those podcasters got sick of the reputational liability and closed down, those communities moved back to Twitter, especially once Elon took it over.

Those were at least proof of concept that we can keep people, we just need big name supporters to brand, endorse, host it.
