@Aldo2@matrix There's a difference between a grown man diddling an 11 year old and a college sophomore dating a high school senior or something. That's lost on zoomers
@p@Doll I have to deal with their shit so they get to deal with mine. That's the art of the deal. If dealing with me is so bad, then imagine how I feel having to deal with them.
Also if you get my money, it means I have to have a certain amount of respect for you, which clowns that write stuff like that automatically do not. If there was a way to ask for their Cashapp and send them a negative amount and not get arrested I'd be on it.
@p@Doll Me watching someone walk up to an ATM with a camera on their face, insert their card tied to their bank account, and try to trick the bank into thinking he withdrew $20 when he's pulling $1000 out of the ATM
@ArdainianRight@ChristiJunior@Rasterman It doesn't help that by and large our entrepreneurs just create new stuff that immediately gets swallowed by a Fortune 500 company the minute it starts gaining traction. Unless you're really paying attention, you'll miss any big startups before they get embraced, extended, and extinguished.
Here's a question. What country and what people were the main players in the AI boom again?
@ArdainianRight@sun We need an emphatic rejection on the notion of the market-state. That's where it begins. We're not an employment agency, a shopping mall, or a theme park. We are a people with a history and a culture and we need to start celebrating that again.
@ArdainianRight@sun No, they are not set up for success, and the same people responsible for this situation are the same ones calling them losers. But iPad kids are going to get brainrotten hard and aren't gonna make it. These are our futures, their legacies, and parents have to be a little bit mindful of what they're doing, even if they're tired and bled dry by corpos.
It's pretty telling that the answers the 2024 GOP has for fixing the birthrate isn't the return of the single income home, it's legal child marriage and abortion bans.
@griffith@sun The same corporations that demand that we hire H1-Bs because Americans are all stupid and lazy are the same ones that demand that workplaces don't reward American excellence and demand social competence and a careerist attitude at the expense of actual competence at your job. Vivek and Elon can bitch about people like you and me but the problem is their dinner party buddies. They'll never admit this, of course, because C-suiters are never, ever wrong, and because H1-Bs do save money, which is what they're really interested in.
