PublicLewdnessFOSS emulation software "Hangover" has been updated to version 8.17. Hangover is based off Wine but allows it to run x86 software on ARM64 and PowerPC64 devices. This update rebases the Wine code against the Wine 8.17 upstream state. Plus this open-source project has pulled in newer Box64 emulator code as well as integrating the newly-released FEX 2310. The code is licensed using LGPLv2.1. Currently you have to build the project from source.
If you wish to support the project financially the lead developer André Zwing accepts donations through Liberpay; Ko-Fi; Patreon as well as having a Throne Wishlist:

PublicLewdnessI just heard about a new RISC-V board called the "Milk-V Pioneer". It's a mATX board that is more similar to a normal x86_64 motherboard than a SBC. It has four DDR4 memory slots, dual M.2 slots, three PCIe x16 slots using x8 lanes, five SATA ports, eight USB 3.2 ports, and dual 2.5Gb Ethernet ports. The CPU comes soldered on but the RAM; storage and dedicated GPU can all be added or removed manually. The CPU, while soldered on, is a 64 core chip. You can purchase just the board or you can purchase it as a complete system. It can use ECC RAM as well. It's not a cheap product but that has been the case form any RISC-V product that aims to be more then something low end. It's a very interesting product form anyone wishing to get away from Intel and AMD.

PublicLewdnessI learned of an interesting tablet tonight: The Librem 11 from Purism. It's an 11" tablet that comes with a physical keyboard that can be attached; 8GB RAM; 1TB NVME storage; and a 2560x1600 screen. It runs Pure OS; has Pureboot for the BIOS; and the Intel ME has been disabled. It's not cheap at $999 USD but will have better support than my PineTab software wise. In any case if you're looking for a new tablet and privacy and security are high on the priority list it's worth a look.
Signal requires a phone number which is a deal breaker for me. I have accounts on XMPP; Matrix; Session and Jami. I'd use Threema but they won't allow me to use just the desktop versiion ad I din't use Android or iOS.
