#YouTube tests disabling videos for people using ad-blockers. This is just a gentle reminder that #tilvids has no ads, nor do we have any insight as to what extensions are installed in your browser. That's none of our business, just stop by, enjoy some videos, and if you feel inclined to support our effort, it's appreciated!

It's a great question, because creating content can be very time-intensive for the creator, and hoping to generate income so you can do it full-time is reasonable.
What I hope eventually happens with niche #PeerTube instances is they can be sponsored by a few corporate sponsors. While there are some potential ethical issues here, I believe them to be less so than constant bombardment of privacy-disrespecting ads. The revenue can then be split between the instance and creators.
"Rant: File Sharing on #Linux is A Mess" #Samba 🐧
I had to share this video from @thelinuxcast because I agree. Linux does so many things better than Windows, but simple file-sharing on a network is not one of them.

Well, they say it can do anything...
This is really important, because content creators go where the audience is. So long as the majority of their viewers are watching on YT, there's *nothing* you can do to get them to support #PeerTube The more people that simply refuse vocally to watch content on YT, the more creators will seek alternatives. If you want creators to support PeerTube, make sure to watch your content on PeerTube instances, tell creators that's what you're doing, and do whatever you can to support them.
