Apolitical people are making small talk with me about how screwed up everything is and how they don't know what to do because it's like a warzone culturally, politically, economically, etc.

Your phone has BIOMETRIC. It should be cheaper because the fraud rate is so much lower. If I use my fingerprint, I can't say "nah it wasn't me lololol", so you shouldn't charge the merchant anything beyond 0.1%.

@IAMAL_PHARIUS @AngryWraith Yeah when you look at real (not government BS) inflation adjusted returns and adjust PE ratios backwards using said inflation, they're not that out of line from 10 years ago. Since the early dotcom crash, every actual promising tech stock gets wildly inflated numbers right away, because there's so much potential to be had in the area. NVDA has a good moat with only two realistic competitors right now and neither can instantly deliver big results when / if there's a breakthrough.

I'm long AMD because I think they're gonna pull something huge out of their ass with architecture :architect: bringing back the apu style fusion of architecture. Consumer L4 cache is coming (total speculation).

There are things I do not agree with Rome on, such as the concepts of leaving communion with Rome as damnable. Christ gave His Apostles the ability to remit/retain sins, but apostolic succession is not unique to Rome and never was. Nor is the concept of direct prayer to God for repentance a foreign concept, as we see with the Publican vs Pharisee parable.

I'll readily admit that I think some historic actions by The Catholic Church seem sketchy, but I'd be lying if I said I trust the modern perspectives on it. The world was a lot harder for people centuries ago, and the necessity for a united front against Islam and other invaders was clear.

I don't see where this claim comes from. There are issues with the church as an institution made of man. The original setup was to have the Bishop of Rome as First among equals, like the Speaker Of The House. The speaker as the tie breaker makes him the defacto authority, and people start to fall in line rather than have their own opinions. I don't believe it was supposed to be that way, but I don't believe every Pope is evil or tyrannical. Most were not.

The Catholics and Orthodox both claim to be OG Christianity, so I'm calling it the directors cut. This is actually fitting for a few reasons:
