    I think that Appalachia is definitely a center of American culture but I take more of the Albion's Seed approach, and look at the other cultural regions settled by people from the other regions of England and Scotland and Ireland.

    Like, Appalachia is really quite foreign to someone from the deep south. I think equally impactful but different.

Okay I'm talking to this girl, she's not disgusted by me, how do I turn this into phone number/date/etc. Some guys seem to have this naturally, I don't. I can go approach any stranger and say hi, turning that into a relationship I'll never understand.
