How do people get your public keys? They have to get sent via plaintext email attachment, or downloaded from a public website (I’m thinking old fashioned, like geo cities) and you run into the infinite recursive problem.

SSH solves the problem with a hexadecimal “fingerprint” the first time you hit a server, with a yes-no prompt. Not an viable solution when Al Gore invented the commercial internet
