@Tadano @WashedOutGundamPilot the one time I had the displeasure of having to work with a chug on a midwest US dairy farm, he ended up in prison after his 3rd day at work because he got shitfaced and violated his parole and a restraining order by showing up to his baby mama's work (the casino) and threatening her. -

Some doctor I don't even know felt the need to send a separate bill for...services? Like what, you looked at the ultrasound results or something? You're not even my wife's doctor, why are you even involved, and why are you sending me a bill?
Healthcare is the only thing that can get away with this bullshit. If I take my car to the mechanic, he at least gives me a fucking line-item estimate before starting, and if stuff comes up while he's working, he calls me to explain it and get my approval before doing additional stuff. How did people ever let this get to the point where the hospital just does whatever they want, for however much they want to charge, and send you a bill for it weeks later with little to no explanation unless you want to spend an hour on the phone with billing just to find out you're still fucked? -

@WashedOutGundamPilot I think this is less to do with disintegrating families and more to do with too many people living a lethargic lifestyle and needing hyperstimulation from flavors so they don't like water. Also a lot of people live in places with bad water and either don't care to or can't afford a purification system. -

Why the Patriot Missile doesn’t work
The US 2019 Missile Defense Review cited the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missile defence system’s "proven combat record”.
US officials inflated its success during Operation Desert Storm significantly, however, surrounding the missile system with a mythical reputation for effectiveness.
During the 1991 Gulf War, the American public was informed that the Patriot missile had a near-perfect record, intercepting a total of 45 out of 47 Scud missiles.
This estimate was later revised down by the US army to about 50 percent. Even then, it noted "higher" confidence in only about 25 percent of the cases.
A Congressional Research Service employee commented that if the US army had consistently and accurately applied its assessment method, the number would be far lower. Reportedly, this number was one Scud missile shot down.
Following a House Committee on Government Operations investigation, not enough evidence was found to conclude that there had been any interceptions at all.
There is little evidence to prove that the Patriot hit more than a few Scud missiles launched by Iraq during the Gulf War," the investigations concluded.
"There are some doubts about even these engagements," it added.
The report, which called for declassifying more information on the Patriot missile and an independent evaluation of the missile defence programme, was crushed under a lobbying campaign by the US army and Raytheon, leaving only a summary publically available. -

My wife used to live there and we were talking about all the crime she was happy to get away from. My parents didn't know about all the crime, and were like 'I wonder why that is, that crime is so high'. It took me a second, being so far down the race rabbit hole, to realize that they really honestly don't understand that niggers commit crime, and that cities are full of niggers.
They aren't boomers, but might as well be to some extent. They are forever stuck in the world of an almost entirely white, christian area, in the 80s. We never had to lock doors, even when I was a kid My parents never had to worry about us kids when we were just playing around the neighborhood for hours at a time completely unsupervised when cell phones didn't exist. -

@Rayfield @Shadowman311 @Elliptica most of the machines we build run DOS based software that was built by one guy over about 20 years, who is no longer working here. he still does occasional contract work adding minor features or fixing weird bugs, but he is basically the only person in the world that can service the software. No idea what we're going to do when our current hardware platform is obsolete and we have to migrate to a different architecture and the one guy that can do it isn't available, but hey, that's in the future. -
