@WashedOutGundamPilot I can't agree more with this. I dated a peer for 5 years. From 17-22. Eventually left me as she found a better fish in college while I was working and paying for our shit and an apt. I'm going to be paraphrasing a lot here.

After then I couldn't actually find a date with anyone my age. and at 22 I was a little iffy dating 18 year olds. they just didn't seem to have enough life experience for me to bother with. and that problem stayed with me until recently. outside of some FWB's my age. never found anyone worth dating my age in my little pond, and Ive staked my claim in life in a small college town. so I'm not exactly lost for choice here. my close friend has a severe addiction to retarded BPD party women. and marvels when I date a woman that has a car... or a job, and this bugger has a house and a successful business. I barely have the scratch for a down payment on a house. and yet he somehow can't find a respectable woman?
I'm babbling

I'm nearly 29 now. And I'm dating a 24 year old. she's lovely. we've been dating for around 6 months now. Lost her job 3 weeks ago so functionally lives with me now but has an attitude I scarecly thought was even possible to find.
I come home from work to find the house cleaned.
I come home from work to find her cooking and vac-packing meals for us to eat over the month. (40 gawtdayun burrito's in da freezer. ready to go biscuits n gravy, loaded baked potato soup oh my)

this is the first time I had ever had a woman pick up that mantle in my life. it had always been 50/50, or in the last one. 80/20. to have her say the words "well I'm not working ATM, so my job is at home for you"

fellas I'ma marry this woman.

@DW2 @sickburnbro Spokane is enthralling in it's duality. a blue dot in eastern Washington that elected a former news anchor Nadine Woodward to mayor. right next to it sits Spokane Valley, a suburban area that leans Republican that split from the city of Spokane in a vote back in 2001 for better resident representation and tax reasons (think like that town that recently split from baton rouge) The City of Spokane has a homeless and drug problem but Spokane Valley has none of that. Despite sharing a bus system.
A great example on two different outcomes depending on enforcement of the problem.

@WashedOutGundamPilot I'll have to look for it the base plans but a fun woodworking project I did with my grandpa a few years back was a false bottom free hanging shelf. there's a key card in a trinket on the shelf that when waved over a specific part unlocks and allows you to pull down the false bottom. I keep a kel-tec sub2000 inside of it with an extra mag.

A state janny job. $26/hr, with bennies and retirement (if that'll matter in my lifetime) consistent raises for CoL and a yearly one from the state senate. alongside moving up to other depts.
I may be sweeping it up but it ain't for free!

Seriously. networking is the few controllable ways you can get the best jobs. otherwise your a nobody.

@WashedOutGundamPilot I had some decent dates with bumble. Now I just see if I meet anyone nice at the climbing gym or random public events in town during the summer.
All dating sites suck. My last GF was flabbergasted at how often I had dates from those sites (maybe 1-2 a month) though she had never really asked anyone else but her girl friends about online dating.

We like to bitch about how all anime turned in to moemoe bullshit.
And why I don't go out of my way to look for new anime anymore unless I just happenstance run into something that piques my interest.
I just want more seinin esc anime featuring people above the age of 18 in a show again. Which is a funny discussion in it's own right. Going into why it's always HIGHSCHOOL.

Excuse the gamer funk. I'm kicking my now ex gf out and I threw all my shit into the workshop. Not pictured. My VIZ media comic book style manga releases. One chapter, one comic. Big images. Reads left to right but boy it's nice to see the art blown up to a larger size.
