@TornadoOfTerror Yeah it's indeed canon that the island gets fucking genocided a few generations after Eren dies, proving him invariably right, and also making the ending fucking retarded because he had future sight at this point and should've known he was right and to not literally cry little bitch tears while talking about how he doesn't want to be cucked someday.
All this despite the fact that NOT FUCKING ONCE IN THE ENTIRE STORY did he have any kind of romantic feelings for literally anyone, because he was so single minded in his desire to get back at the world and attain freedom.
The ending to AoT pisses me off so much and people who justify it are usually just the ones who are easily wow'd by cool animations and immediately discard any criticism for a story because of it.
Wasted potential, it could've been good. It could've been a masterpiece even, but the editor got pissy because Eren genociding the world (rightfully) was too edgy and he wanted to appeal to retards and get the show on netflix/crunchyroll

I still remember this one picture from my history textbook that depicted German people sleeping on literal ropes
People were too broke to afford even bread, so how could they afford homes?
So what they'd do is tie a rope between two points at around chest height, and then 5-6 people would just lie over that rope and sleep like that
It was actually insane just how much Germany was blamed for WW1, and how much they were fucked in the ass. They were even denied basic human rights essentially
The same human rights that the west loves to shout about from the rooftops and the same human rights that they were supposedly trying to defend in WW2
