     @Shadowman311 Now that "waifu" has been in the lexicon for about 30 years, it's comparable to the muse of antiquity. It's an idealized iteration of what you would like to see in the world. Guys have always had some kind of poster girl to admire, ours are just cringier and jappier than our grandfathers'.

     Beyond that more waifu is equal part masthead and mascot, and thanks to a never-ending treadmill of new anon accounts, they've become a shibboleth for our culture, an accessible form of consistent branding to identify frens when they change their handle after the 312th account ban.
