I am a lolbert by nature. That is, by default, I think that if there is no victim, there is no crime. Social norms are another matter. It’s reasonable to expect people to at a minimum keep their hedonistic sins quiet. I don’t want to hear about someone’s whores or their drugs or their weird sex habits at work, family gatherings, etc. I want them to not do them at all, preferably, but at least be discreet enough that I don’t find out.

I mean it evaporates after the surgery regardless of if they stay on the path. Once someone is irreparably destroyed, there’s no more use for carrot. They get thrown out like trash.

I don’t think they truly realize that they are burning these bridges. They think they will get institutional support forever, but I’m starting to think that the institutional support evaporates not too long after they get the surgery. Just a hunch.

All e-drama is gay and when I engage in it I’m gay, too. It’s like a sinful temptation. We absolutely shouldn’t do it even if it feels good in the moment.

@Zerglingman @lina @PhenomX6 The one thing I don’t like about terminals is that you can’t do multi-tasking with them very well.

For example, in bash, you technically can make it so that you can have multiple commands outputting stdout and stderr to the same stream by appending an ampersand (&) to the end of the command you’re running, and then typing in another one, but:

• As you start typing your next command, if the previous one(s) dump something to stdout, the command you had partially typed gets mixed in with the stdout contents of the previous one, and
• Most commands in Linux and other Unix-like operating systems weren’t really written with having to share a single terminal with many other commands in mind

I kind of wish there was a terminal out there where stdin was separated from stdout in the way that WeeChat’s TUI is, I would seriously start writing scripts that are intended to give me a sort of “stream of consciousness” experience, where fedi notifications, new RSS posts, etc, get printed on a rolling basis, and I type commands that do things asynchronously.

If any of you know of a terminal it does this I really want to know, because if it exists, I don’t know what it is. And also, if I’m being honest, I don’t want to bother writing it myself.

Soyny has been rotted out for a long time. Abandoning their Japanese roots to Americanize is probably around when I would notice it. But I bet the rot began well before then.

I suspect Musk has some cute trick up his sleeve like making Trump CEO of Twitter or something, which would at least be funny considering how, in spite of how ineffectual he was in office, he’s basically Emanuel Goldstein in the mind of your average leftoid. But if he does something gay like make Jared Kushner CEO it’ll just suck. I suspect he’ll do something more akin to the latter, unfortunately.

Yeah the more I’m thinking on it, the more it looks like Daddy Elon is cucking. Unfortunate.

We’ll see what happens. I mean, it’s all theater anyway. Essentially none of this is real. I didn’t expect Musk to actually buy it, if I’m being honest.
