I had an idea the other day to use #DallE to #digitally remove #watermarks from an #image.
I used the edit-existing-image interface to erase most of the watermarked portions of the image, then described the exact photo in the input, and applied the generation.
The first image is the original, the second the DALL-E #filled-in version.
The ability here is hampered quite a bit from the fact that the Dall-E #eraser tool has a fairly large minimum size. But it ain't *too* bad. #AI

@jeffcliff @ErinInTheMorn Well, there is quite definitely an identified phenomenon of medical professionals discouraging or even outright *refusing* things such as tubal ligations or hysterectomies for women under 40, for exactly the same kind of appeal-to-deity fundamentalist reasons such as "irreparable harm to your reproductive future." And, it's a problem, it takes away the agency of those women who want to make those decisions.

The commonly accepted definition of "drug pushing" is drug dealers telling you you should try it, knowing you will likely become addicted and thus become a new reliable customer. So, are hormones addictive? Considering everyone has hormones... that would seem to pose a bit of a paradox. Are we all addicted to our genetically determined hormones?

The same arguments would seem to apply to to T treatments for men, or for that matter, to birth control pills.

@jeffcliff @ErinInTheMorn Well the biggest problem with gatekeeping, much like with censorship, or prohibition, is that the people in charge of the gatekeeping will tend to abuse and misuse the power for anti-public interests.
This is of extra concern in a country where a lack of national standardization or regulation of medical care and treatment (not to mention monopolization by religious organizations) leads to wildly differing and often fundamentalist restrictive gatekeeping, in practice.
