@lain@lain.com yeah if you have a giant react or vue spa then it'd probably work well, but for other frameworks, the "inspired" projects are just so much bloat that you can just duplicate the idea yourself really easily usually

@7666@comp.lain.la democracy is probably one of the most messiest governments, there's so many other governments with varying levels of that "calmness" through authoritarianism and some of them are even sort of democracies, you could move to switzerland or norway or south korea or the philippines but out of all the countries you're still in the us

@p@fsebugoutzone.org @hierarchon@inherently.digital @a@fedi.layer02.net @sun@shitposter.worldA person's image should be left of their bioso you've seriously never needed to display an image to the left of the bio that isn't the avatar and then the css has to be made more specific x100 and then your css becomes a giant calcified mess where you can't tell if that css style is even applying to anything before because maybe avatars have now changed to be displayed in a list for multiple accounts or something but the jackass who implemented the list never went through the entire css and painstakingly matched the css to every possible markup that your app could generate in that position and so your css becomes a giant calcified mess OR
instead of needing to even sift through all your css templates in the first place, the css is sitting there literally in the same element and you no longer have to guess whether an !important that was put in to override an !important that was required to change a bootstrap style will fuck up your whole day on some edge case where you need to display a small image overlay in the corner of your avatar for some shitty animated status icon or something

i can't believe i have to argue for keeping interrelated things in the same place, at least C will yell at you if you have a function that was never defined in the header and vice versa so it's infinitely less of a problem there
