@nixCraft I've been working with Hetzner dedicated servers for 10y now. Experienced a couple of hw failures (hdd failure, cpu fan stopped working), all were dealt with quickly. Very few network outages. Keep in mind that they do not have IPMI, but if needed you can request a remote console that will be connected by their tech staff (usually within 30 min)

@nixCraft these kind of alarming pictures have very little value, other than making the currently biggest party get a larger piece of the pie. (most people don't want to be on the losing team) We all know chrome is dominant, but it is certainly not the case that they have "won" or are the only option.

(the Dutch voting results per city district can show you similar pictures, but the biggest party only has 25% of the seats in parliament)

@nixCraft framework. It is a device that you actually own and can repair. Switched about a year ago (from a Dell xps) and I never want to go back. Especially since the Dell xps series now use this impossible webcam solution from Intel.

@nixCraft I've seen quite a few issue threads get very sour on github. To me it seems that the root cause is usually people forgetting their manners, and making demands on stuff they got for free.
From my personal experience almost all of the open source projects out there (from single dev all the way up to large company backed) are very happy if you report issues to them, but the way you report matters! Be polite, be precise, and be thankful for everything they already provide for free!
