    If the Democrat Senate leader is the one who dictates what is an unexcused absence, I am fairly confident that only Republicans will ever have unexcused absences, as all the times that Democrats are not present will be excused.

    So far, it's just an idea. If I implement automatic conversion, it will first be for links in my own posts. Then I *may* extend it to accounts I follow or a specific whitelist of accounts.

    I wouldn't know about the effect on SSDs, as I have only a single, small drive I use as cache and the bulk of my strage is spinning disk drives.

    Leave the torrents running with a limited upload limit so your ISP doesn't freak out. The torrent client periodically checks blocks and will redownload corrupted data.

    If you are planning on using any of this sort of thing in a survival situation, practice now when the cost of failure is lost time and maybe a minor injury or food poisoning and not you dying. If your plans involve building stuff to use when the power fails, build it now while you still have power, so that is one less thing you have to worry about when the power fails.
