   Loanwords are funny
   When you say "anime" in Japan it refers to any kind of animated cartoons regardless of place of origin, but when you say "anime" outside of Japan it refers almost exclusively to animated cartoons made in Japan and marketed primarily towards Nihonjin

     Anime is a double loan word. English -> Japanese -> English.
