   Oregon’s top court asked to decide if GOP senators who boycotted Legislature can be reelected

   The senators are challenging a constitutional amendment approved by voters in 2022 that bars them from being reelected after having 10 or more unexcused absences. Oregon voters last year overwhelmingly approved the ballot measure that created the amendment following GOP walkouts in the Legislature in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

     One of real lessons of Trump is that power is now a one-way street in the empire and that "playing fair" will only land the opposition in the gulag. That's what upsets me most about GOP run states, they should be putting the screws to the left because if they ever lose then elections are over there.

     The Democrat leader of the Senate decides what is an unexcused absence. Dems refuse to engage the Reps in any negotiations, instead the Dems do what they want, disenfranchising
     nearly the population. It has been amusing to watch the reaction of the D's to the R's boycott.

     If the Democrat Senate leader is the one who dictates what is an unexcused absence, I am fairly confident that only Republicans will ever have unexcused absences, as all the times that Democrats are not present will be excused.

     So the new trend is for Democrats to modify the law to ban their political opponents from office?
     
     The new definition of "democracy" is "rule by Democrats".
     
     Tear it down.
