When your storage is encrypted on android, alarms that you set will still fire without unlocking the phone.
Someone at Google thought about this and intentionally patched it in, so that you won't miss your morning alarm even if your phone crashes and reboots or loses power and you just plug it in.

If we put this one guy in the programmer eugenics breeding project, in a 100 years we might finally have software that isn't annoying dogshit all the time.

Think about it: You'd need an unencrypted extra partition just to read alarm data and other tidbits from there. And an interface so apps could deliberately write there. How did he get this approved? It's a disproportionate amount of work compared to the benefit and it's a small annoyance that you would have to notice in the first place. This guy definitely has the faustian :A10: spirit!

I can't really afford to have the machine down right now to figure it out but I reckon I'm gonna need to do that sometime soon anyway because the "ready to go" ones fuck me over constantly.

@Kyonko802 tbh I have wifi issues on linux mint (for babies) and resume from suspend doesn't work properly either. I wanted to use a distro which needed more configuration (if I'm gonna have to do that anyway) but the iso I tried shipped with muted audio and the Fn keys not working 💀 I ran out of time before getting to the point where I could have tested wifi on that one

My predictions. Watch for this:

-people unmasked as jewish (not in a schizo way but actually) being tolerated for years, then being subversive and pushing liberalism, nobody calling them out except the extreme fringe. Calling out Jews in general will be ridiculed. The warranted fear of Jewish subversion is mocked even today. Even on fedi. Antisemites in name only.

-m/f relations talk will move beyond the split between "modern women are trash" versus "stop saying this shit you're scaring the hoes, be optical" but not towards an actual resolution (for example demanding higher standards for both sexes, denouncing their flaws). Instead, discourse will arrive at the same "women are basically infallible" standard of liberalism. Every sex relations issue will be framed as being bad for (white) women. Talking about Men's issues will become unfashionable, then unacceptable. Humor against (white) women will become taboo. Dating advice will become unisex to placate the "women in the movement"

-There will be endless further attempts at "making a deal with Zionism to get something for Whites". Talking heads will shrink the time horizon further and further so previous failures of the strategy are memory-holed.

-"anti-woke" brands and media explode in popularity. They are just liberalism and degeneracy from 10 years back. Think price-anchoring in mobile games. When Trump won in 2016, it was fringe online culture sweeping normal discourse. Their memes were funnier, their talking points hit harder, their content was more timely. They adapted it to be palatable for normies, yet didn't compromise the core. Recall them howling in fear about "radicalization", meaning cuckservatives converting.

Now, the opposite is happening. Instead of ignoring, the System is conquering the fringes. The online right, now ballooned in size, is utterly defenseless against this takeover. They had them enthusiastically voting for the same guy who bitterly betrayed them.

A few years back, anons tirelessly unmasked every shitty talking point and every jew subverter and the observer saw the truth emerge like a statue from a block of marble. Now, the establishment sends Jew after Jew, liberal talking point after talking point. And each time it causes a fracture. They're now chipping away at the block of marble until the new, sedated right wing golem emerges.

@themilkman @smugumin I don't know what it is but I like games that I can play casually for most if the time and just chat with my pals in vc
battle royale and crafting games and stuff are really good for that. Maybe that's just a coincidence or maybe AAA, even for online multiplayer, is too optimized on their focus group "test subject" sitting alone in front of a TV and keeping him occupied in those conditions. So they make games that constantly keep you busy, so you don't go "this is not it, I'm gonna call my buddy and drink a beer and play cards with him"
Maybe that's why most indies feel more social? Because they don't test with a focus group. They sit around with a couple dudes and chat while playing.

@smugumin There are a lot of new types of games and indie IS breaking the incestuous industry jerkoff party apart. Indies make new stuff constantly, and also "inspired by old classic" games too. OP just singles out two story-heavy RPGs so it seems like there is no progress. I agree with your 1.
As a counterexample to OP, there are a lot of indie games that revived the genres of old classics:
Stardew Valley was a "Harvest Moon like" with new mechanics
Turbo Overkill, Boltgun, many others are "Quakelikes" with new mechanics
Ready Or Not is a "SWAT 4" like

Further, indie is not as incestuous as you think. Survival Shooters and Battle Royale are both relatively recent innovations from the indie shooter space. They were then iterated upon but I don't think that's bad. AAA is way more static and incestuous, ubislop for example.
