Satire doesn't need to have a punchline, as i understand it.

Anyway, i wasn't thinking about wokeism but about local stuff. Some dude from russian parliament and PhD in law published a megacrazy article, it is initially was talking about standard russian right-wing stuff like "the west hates us, freedom is bad" and so on, but eventually dives into the die-hard conspirology about lizard people created with space genome editing technology. In other words, imagine MKUltra shitpost hellthreads being published in an official russian scientific journal, i am not joking 😀

That's understandable, but be careful. I know a lot about the Russian mentality and it clearly rejects the very concept of objective truth, they care about nothing but their own survival and will consistently lie about anything to achieve that goal. It is now federated with lorsh and aipub, both relatively small. However, this account seems to be unreachable from any non-mastodon instances, i assume this is a temporary technical limitation.

I prefer to be neither very optimistic nor pessimistic about it, if this will shift normietards towards free and decentralized web - great, if not - we lose nothing 🤷♀️

Threads is testing federation for a few selected profiles. I assume they also have some kind of whitelist of instances or software, because out of the 8 instances i have accounts on, federation with threads only works on lorsh/mastodon. Or maybe it's just buggy at the moment.

The bird in the second picture is an African. It is a separate species in the genus Bubo, one of the smallest.

The European eagle owl is a subspecies of the Eurasian eagle owl, and they are huge!

A variant with hands+wings i also don't like much because it's anatomically fucked up. Six natural limbs is reeeeally hard to imagine with the default human anatomy. But i suppose if you want to have a winged character design, you can make the wings some kind of technical device.

Also i wonder if furry/moe birds should have dicks or boobs :thonk:

Arknights have some character, i suppose her design is based on northern white-faced owl.
(I personally find it not very successful, i also tried to draw or generate owl humanization for multiple times and didn't like the result)
