I have to mind hard what I share and discuss with normie friends friends, most of the time I'm dealing with fox news-esque informed minds and can only push an alternate perspective so far.
We had a short israeli-palestine discuss that ended when I pointed out it israel aggressive against palestine far more. The little autisms like the difference in bomb weights that hamas and kikes has isn't known to the regular layman.

Yeah 12 years older was seen very positively for such aspects, where its creepy today. An 18 yo marrying a 30yo is not looked highly upon.

This is one of those things I've read and understood many times but tends to fall to the back of the mind. You also absorb that artificial estrogen dose via intercourse with a woman on the pill.

What causes moved it up so much? I know for girls there is a biological component that they'll enter puberty earlier if their father becomes absent for too long. Not sure if that'd be the sole reason or if pollutants in our environment and foods would also be at work.

Age of consent really started arising with the feminist movement and moreso in heavy urban areas. Get people back to homestead/ living by the land lifestyle where they grow up with nature, seeing and taking care of animals, and having a well developed sense of life and death from a young age (very lacking in modern america) and you'd have any entirely different scale of maturity in teens/young adults.
Most marriages back then required parental consent unless there was an elloping and fathers kept close watch of their daughters. I recall for a book report I once did on Zachary Taylor, he was commenting at a marriage how the bride's groom was a respectable 12 years old and thus mature enough to manage the marriage well. He was commenting on how another women recently married had a husband only 5 years older than her and that he was much to young and immature.
